Zinc finger protein 358 (ZNF358)

Target
ZNF358
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Zinc finger protein
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 358 (ZNF358) is a zinc finger-containing protein predicted to function as a DNA-binding transcription factor, specifically mediating RNA polymerase II cis-regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding activity. It is suggested to play a role in embryonic forelimb morphogenesis, neural tube development, and general regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. ZNF358 is located in the nucleus, consistent with its putative transcriptional regulatory roles. Existing evidence does not identify it as a validated therapeutic target, nor are there known drugs or established roles for ZNF358 in major disease classes beyond some preliminary disease associations, such as familial febrile seizures[1][2][4].
