Zinc finger protein 37A (ZNF37A)

Target
ZNF37A
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Zinc finger protein (C2H2-type), DNA-binding protein
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 37A is a human protein encoded by the ZNF37A gene. It is predicted to function as a DNA-binding transcription factor, primarily involved in the regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Like other zinc finger proteins, ZNF37A contains finger-like structural motifs stabilized by zinc ions, enabling it to interact with DNA and possibly other molecules. The gene is located in the nucleus and participates in gene expression pathways. Diseases associated with ZNF37A include myotonic dystrophy, but specific biological or pharmacological targeting information is lacking. In general, zinc finger proteins play critical roles in transcription regulation, cellular differentiation, and other vital processes[1][3][4][5][7][8].
