Zinc finger protein 414 (ZNF414) is a protein encoded by the ZNF414 gene in humans and orthologous in several other organisms. It is a member of the C2H2-type zinc finger protein family and is predicted to function as a DNA-binding transcription factor, involved in regulating the expression of various genes, both by induction and repression[2][5][10][11]. The protein is likely localized to the nucleus and may play a role in gene regulatory processes that affect cell proliferation, cell migration, and DNA repair[2]. There is, as yet, no evidence that ZNF414 is a validated or established drug target. No approved or known drugs modulate its activity directly, nor is it currently used as a biomarker in clinical practice[5][10][11]. Although ZNF414 is implicated at the molecular level in fundamental cell processes, its role in human disease remains underexplored, and there are no established safety or therapeutic concerns regarding this protein.
