Zinc finger protein 454 (ZNF454)

Target
ZNF454
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, C2H2-type zinc finger protein
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 454 is a human transcription factor that contains C2H2-type zinc finger motifs, enabling it to bind specific DNA sequences in a sequence-specific manner and regulate transcription by RNA polymerase II. Zinc finger proteins are a large and diverse family implicated in transcriptional regulation and various cellular processes, but ZNF454 itself has not been documented as a direct therapeutic target or biomarker. ZNF454 is encoded by the ZNF454 gene, also known as FLJ37444, and belongs to the C2H2-type class of zinc finger transcription factors. There is currently no documented role for ZNF454 in human diseases, drug interactions, or mechanisms of targeted therapy.
