Zinc finger protein 485 (ZNF485) is a human protein encoded by the ZNF485 gene, functioning as a transcription factor of the C2H2 zinc finger family[2][3]. It is predicted to bind DNA and regulate transcription by RNA polymerase II, typically localizing to the nucleus[3][2]. ZNF485 is highly expressed in several cancers, particularly bladder cancer, where it promotes cancer cell proliferation, enhances mobility and invasion, and inhibits apoptosis; its suppression has been shown to reduce tumor growth in both cell lines and animal models[1]. Because of these roles, ZNF485 is considered both a biomarker and a potential therapeutic target in bladder cancer[1][2][3]. There is currently no well-documented evidence for direct drug interactions or validated mechanisms of pharmacological inhibition for ZNF485.
