Target intelligence / Profile preview

Zinc finger protein 510 (ZNF510)

Target
ZNF510
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 510 is a 683-amino acid transcription factor localized on chromosome 9 in humans. It contains C2H2-type zinc-finger domains, structural motifs commonly involved in DNA binding and gene regulatory processes. ZNF510 is expressed in several cancer cell types and has been suggested as a biomarker for early cancer diagnosis. Its main molecular function is transcriptional regulation, consistent with its classification as a zinc-finger protein and nucleic acid-binding factor. No approved drugs are currently known to directly target ZNF510, and no specific safety concerns have been reported for targeting this protein
