Zinc finger protein 512 (ZNF512) is a member of the zinc finger protein family, characterized by the presence of four putative C2H2-type zinc finger motifs that enable DNA or protein binding[1][6]. As a putative transcription factor, ZNF512 is principally involved in the regulation of gene expression and may play a broader role in controlling cellular processes through its nucleic acid and protein interactions[1][6]. ZNF512 is localized in the cell nucleus and displays expression across multiple tissues[4][7]. Altered expression of ZNF512 has been associated with disease progression in certain cancers, notably serving as a risk or protective factor in lung adenocarcinoma, where it may act as a prognostic biomarker[1]. There is currently no evidence classifying ZNF512 directly as a therapeutic target or indicating direct interactions with known therapeutic drugs.
