Zinc finger protein 547 (ZNF547)

Target
ZNF547
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Krueppel C2H2-type zinc finger family, DNA-binding protein
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 547 (ZNF547) is a predicted DNA-binding transcription factor of the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc finger family. It may regulate transcription of genes by binding specific DNA sequences, likely via RNA polymerase II-dependent mechanisms. Its expression and function are not well characterized, and it is not currently implicated as a therapeutic target or biomarker in human disease. ZNF547 is located on chromosome 19 and has multiple splice variants and orthologs in other species. It belongs to one of the largest and most diverse protein superfamilies, but there is limited specific biological or clinical information about it.
