Target intelligence / Profile preview

Zinc finger protein 613 (ZNF613)

Target
ZNF613
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Zinc finger protein, C2H2-type zinc finger family
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 613 is a protein-coding gene product containing C2H2-type zinc finger motifs, which are known to enable direct DNA binding and function primarily in transcription regulation[4][3][1]. ZNF613 is predicted to act as a DNA-binding transcription factor and is likely located within the cell nucleus, where it may regulate transcription by RNA polymerase II[4]. Like other mammals’ zinc finger proteins, ZNF613 belongs to the largest transcription factor family and may participate in complex cellular processes such as gene expression, cell differentiation, and maintenance of genome stability[6][3][8]. However, its specific biological and pathological roles remain to be defined, and it is not currently recognized as a direct drug target or clinical biomarker.
