Zinc finger protein 619 (ZNF619)

Target
ZNF619
Molecular classification
Transcription factor (zinc finger protein family), DNA-binding protein
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 619 is a human DNA-binding transcription factor belonging to the zinc finger protein family. It is predicted to regulate gene expression by binding to specific DNA sequences and influencing transcription, primarily through RNA polymerase II. The protein contains zinc finger domains which stabilize its structure and mediate sequence-specific interactions with DNA. ZNF619 is encoded by a protein-coding gene expressed predominantly in the nucleus and is involved in transcriptional regulation. It has been linked (primarily by genetic association) to certain rare developmental disorders but is not established as a major therapeutic target or biomarker for human disease. Its expression has been studied in various tissues, including cancer, but its functional role in pathology remains unclear.
