Zinc finger protein 641 (ZNF641)

Target
ZNF641
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, DNA-binding protein, Zinc finger protein

Overview

Zinc finger protein 641 (ZNF641) is a protein encoded by the ZNF641 gene in humans. It belongs to the zinc finger protein family and functions as a transcriptional activator, activating transcriptional activities of SRE (serum response element) and AP-1. It is involved in the regulation of gene expression through sequence-specific DNA binding and RNA polymerase II-dependent transcription regulation. ZNF641 is localized in the cytosol, nucleolus, and nucleoplasm[1][7][9]. There is currently no reported evidence that ZNF641 functions as a direct therapeutic target or has documented drug interactions.
