Zinc finger protein 664 (ZNF664)

Target
ZNF664
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, DNA-binding protein, Zinc finger protein
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 664 (ZNF664) is a DNA-binding transcription factor predicted to play a role in the regulation of gene expression via RNA polymerase II-dependent transcription. It contains zinc finger motifs, which are common structural domains that facilitate sequence-specific DNA binding in the nucleus. ZNF664 is associated with some congenital diseases, such as autosomal dominant deafness and clubfoot, but its detailed mechanistic involvement in pathophysiology is not well characterized[3][5][8]. No known drugs currently target ZNF664, and it is not established as a therapeutic target.
