Zinc finger protein 669 is a predicted transcription factor in humans, encoded by the ZNF669 gene. It belongs to the large family of C2H2-type zinc finger proteins characterized by finger-like DNA-binding domains. These proteins bind DNA in a sequence-specific manner and regulate transcription, primarily through interaction with RNA polymerase II regulatory regions. While the specific functions of zinc finger protein 669 remain mostly uncharacterized, it is presumed to act in gene expression control, functioning in the nucleus, and may have paralogs such as ZNF596. No direct disease-causing role or therapeutic targeting has been established for this protein
