Target intelligence / Profile preview

Zinc finger protein 695 (ZNF695)

Target
ZNF695
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, Zinc finger protein, DNA-binding protein
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 695 is a human transcription factor protein that is predicted to enable DNA-binding transcription factor activity, particularly RNA polymerase II-specific and cis-regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding. It is likely involved in transcriptional regulation within the nucleus and is part of the zinc finger protein superfamily, which plays widespread roles in DNA binding and gene expression modulation. ZNF695 has several transcript variants and paralogs, with documented roles in the regulation of gene expression. It has been associated with some disease phenotypes, including childhood B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, but there is currently no evidence for direct targeting by therapeutic agents[1][2][4][6][7][8]. Zinc finger proteins such as ZNF695 are important for fundamental gene regulatory mechanisms and may play indirect roles in disease processes; however, ZNF695 is not classified as a common therapeutic target or direct receptor/enzyme[2][8].
