Overview

Zinc finger protein 716 (ZNF716) is a member of the zinc finger protein family, which are among the largest and most diverse groups of proteins involved in fundamental cellular mechanisms, primarily acting as DNA-binding transcription factors[1][2][3][4]. ZNF716 is predicted to possess DNA-binding transcription factor activity with specificity for RNA polymerase II cis-regulatory regions, functioning primarily in the regulation of DNA-templated transcription and localized to the nucleus[2][3]. While its precise biological function and disease associations remain largely uncharacterized, annotations suggest that, like other zinc finger proteins, ZNF716 likely regulates gene expression and may play a role in both normal cellular function and disease. As of now, there are no well-established roles for ZNF716 as a therapeutic target, nor validated interacting drugs, nor is it considered a biomarker or associated with specific safety concerns[2][3][4].
