ZNF716 is predicted to possess DNA-binding transcription factor activity with specificity for RNA polymerase II cis-regulatory regions, functioning primarily in the regulation of DNA-templated transcription and localized to the nucleus[2][3]. While its precise biological function and disease associations remain largely uncharacterized, annotations suggest that, like other zinc finger proteins, ZNF716 likely regulates gene expression and may play a role in both normal cellular function and disease.
