Zinc finger protein 761 (ZNF761) is a member of the large family of zinc finger proteins, characterized by the presence of zinc finger motifs stabilized by zinc ions, which enable specific binding to DNA. ZNF761 is predicted to act as a transcriptional regulator, influencing gene expression by binding to cis-regulatory regions in DNA, and is active in the cell nucleus. While its precise biological roles are not fully elucidated, it shares functional characteristics typical of zinc finger transcription factors, including DNA recognition and the regulation of transcription. Diseases associated with ZNF761 have been reported as gallbladder benign neoplasm and gallbladder adenoma, but there is no experimental evidence linking ZNF761 as a therapeutic target or drug-interaction protein to date.
