Zinc finger protein 771 (ZNF771) is a member of the zinc finger protein family, specifically of the C2H2-type, and functions as a sequence-specific double-stranded DNA binding transcription factor. It is thought to play key roles in the regulation of gene expression by RNA polymerase II, impacting processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and development. ZNF771 is primarily localized in the nucleolus and nucleoplasm and is predicted to modulate transcriptional programs essential for normal cellular function. Dysregulation of ZNF771 has been linked to several diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disorders, neurological conditions, and has been associated with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome.
