Zinc finger protein 780B (ZNF780B) is a C2H2-type zinc-finger transcription factor, encoded in humans by the ZNF780B gene. Like other members of its family, it is likely involved in transcriptional regulation by binding DNA, influencing gene expression. It belongs to the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc finger protein family, which represents the largest group of transcription factors in the human genome. There is evidence suggesting ZNF780B may have a role as a stress-responsive, cell-type–specific factor during kidney injury, though its broader functional and disease associations are not well-characterized. No approved drugs are reported to directly target ZNF780B, and it is not currently recognized as a therapeutic target or a clinical biomarker.
