Zinc finger protein 841 (ZNF841) is a putative transcription factor that contains zinc finger motifs, which are protein domains stabilized by zinc ions and are commonly involved in binding DNA to regulate gene expression. ZNF841 is part of the large zinc finger protein family, which primarily functions in the regulation of transcription, mediating various biological processes by sequence-specific binding to DNA. ZNF841 is annotated in the human genome (chromosome 19; gene symbol LOC284371). Its precise biological functions remain incompletely characterized, but like other zinc finger proteins, it is predicted to play a role in controlling gene expression through DNA binding[4][6][7]. There are no established therapeutic, disease, or drug interactions currently reported for ZNF841 specifically. Zinc finger proteins, as a family, are considered critical regulators of gene transcription and genome stability, and many members play major roles in disease, but there is no current evidence that ZNF841 itself is a validated therapeutic target or has been implicated in a specific disease or pathway[1][3].
