Zinc finger protein 846 (ZNF846) is a human protein encoded by the ZNF846 gene on chromosome 19 that is predicted to act as a sequence-specific DNA-binding transcription factor, particularly involved in transcriptional regulation mediated by RNA polymerase II[1][3][4][6][7][8]. It contains zinc finger domains characteristic of this protein family and is predicted to be active in the cell nucleus. There is limited direct evidence describing its precise physiological or pathological role, but an association has been noted with microcephalic osteodysplastic primordial dwarfism, type II[1]. No data were found indicating its use as a therapeutic target, drug interactions, or utility as a biomarker.
