Zinc finger protein 878 (ZNF878)

Target
ZNF878
Molecular classification
Transcription factor, C2H2-type zinc finger protein
01

Overview

Zinc finger protein 878 (ZNF878) is a member of the C2H2-type zinc finger family and functions as a DNA-binding transcription factor in humans[3][6][7]. It is predicted to enable sequence-specific binding to DNA, regulating transcription in a manner dependent on RNA polymerase II[3][5][6]. ZNF878 is believed to localize to the nucleus and may have paralogy with ZNF433[3]. No direct links to disease causation or therapeutic targeting have been established, and currently there are no known drugs, biomarkers, or notable safety concerns associated with modulation of this gene or its protein product[3][5][6][7].
