Zinc finger protein 98 is a DNA-binding transcription factor of the C2H2-type zinc finger protein family, mainly involved in gene expression regulation mediated by RNA polymerase II[4]. Zinc finger proteins generally function in transcriptional regulation, chromatin remodeling, and cell differentiation, but ZNF98 itself has not been specifically characterized for unique functions or linked to prominent disease mechanisms.
