ZNF114 antisense RNA 1 (ZNF114-AS1)

ZNF114 antisense RNA 1 (ZNF114-AS1, also known as AC008392.1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) transcribed from the opposite strand of the ZNF114 gene locus on chromosome 19[1][4]. It is classified as an antisense RNA, specifically a subclass of lncRNAs that regulate gene expression by various mechanisms, including RNA duplex formation with sense transcripts, modulation of mRNA stability or translation, and recruitment of chromatin-modifying complexes[2][3][5].
