Target intelligence / Profile preview
ZNF473 antisense RNA 1 (ZNF473-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), classified as an antisense transcript to the ZNF473 gene. Antisense lncRNAs such as ZNF473-AS1 are known to regulate the expression of their sense gene counterparts—as well as potentially other genes—by mechanisms such as transcriptional interference, RNA-RNA binding, recruitment of chromatin modifiers, and modulation of mRNA stability. There are, however, no published studies specifically detailing the functional roles, disease relevance, or therapeutic potential of ZNF473-AS1 in humans as of the latest search. No pharmacological modulators, biomarker usage, or safety liabilities are documented for this lncRNA.
