ZNF571 antisense RNA 1 (ZNF571-AS1)

ZNF571 antisense RNA 1 (ZNF571-AS1) is a **long non-coding RNA (lncRNA)** that is transcribed in the antisense orientation relative to the ZNF571 gene on chromosome 19[13]. As an **antisense lncRNA**, ZNF571-AS1 does not encode a protein but likely regulates the expression of the neighboring zinc finger protein 571 (ZNF571) gene and potentially other targets through mechanisms such as modulation of mRNA stability, chromatin modification, and/or acting as a competing endogenous RNA[1][2][5][7].
