8-week open-label baseline-controlled study of single-pill combinations for blood pressure reduction in uncontrolled hypertension

Phase 3, open-label, single-arm trial of aliskiren + hydrochlorothiazide and amlodipine + valsartan in essential hypertension, sponsored by Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Primary endpoints: Change in mean systolic blood pressure from baseline to 8 weeks and Proportion of patients achieving target systolic blood pressure ≤ 140 mmHg. Started Nov 2010; status: terminated.
