SP-420 in transfusion-dependent thalassemia or low-risk myelodysplastic syndromes

Phase 2, open-label trial of petadeferitrin in alpha thalassemia, beta thalassemia and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) (2 arms), sponsored by Pharmacosmos. Primary endpoints: Total body iron removed by SP-420 from baseline to week 24 and Type and incidence of adverse events after 12 weeks of treatment. Planned start Jun 2024; status: authorised.
