Overview
Phase 2, randomised, double-blind trial in acute tonsillitis, peritonsillar cellulitis and peritonsillar abscess (PTA) comparing IV benzylpenicillin + oral penicillin with IV placebo (NaCl 0.9%) + oral penicillin (2 arms). Primary endpoints: STAT-10 score on Day 2 (AT and PP), PTAAT-12 score on Day 2 (PTA) and 1 more. Planned start Aug 2026; status: authorised.
