Infrequent zoledronic acid for prevention of bone loss and vertebral fractures in postmenopausal women with normal to mildly low bone density

Phase 4, randomised, double-blind trial in osteoporosis comparing Zoledronic acid at baseline, placebo at 5 years, Zoledronic acid at baseline and 5 years and Placebo at baseline and 5 years (3 arms). Primary endpoint: New morphometric vertebral fractures since baseline. Started May 2012; status: completed.
