Oral azithromycin to prevent bronchopulmonary dysplasia in very low birth weight preterm infants

Phase 2, randomised, open-label trial of azithromycin in bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) (2 arms), sponsored by Urmia University of Medical Sciences. Primary endpoint: Composite of death before 36 weeks PMA or moderate-to-severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia at 36 weeks PMA. Planned start Dec 2026; status: not yet recruiting.
