Patients receive a combination of paclitaxel, UFT (tegafur/uracil), and leucovorin.

Who it enrols
Patients with metastatic esophageal cancer, with no more than one prior non-taxane chemotherapy regimen, no prior taxane, UFT, capecitabine, or continuous 5-FU, and a life expectancy of at least 3 months.
