Overview
Phase 2, randomised, open-label trial of etanercept in type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D) (2 arms), sponsored by Virginia Commonwealth University. Primary endpoint: Functional capability of the islet allograft to normalize glucose metabolism in the absence of insulin therapy at 5 years. Planned start Aug 2011; status: withdrawn.
