Phase 3, randomised, double-blind trial in sickle cell anemia (SCA) and sickle beta zero thalassemia (HbS/β⁰-thalassemia) comparing L-glutamine with Placebo (2 arms). Primary endpoint: Number of Occurrences of Sickle Cell Crises at 48 weeks. Started May 2010; status: completed.
