Phase 4, randomised, double-blind trial in type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D) comparing Metformin with Placebo (2 arms). Primary endpoints: Insulin Sensitivity by Hyperinsulinemic Euglycemic Clamp at 6 weeks and Flow-mediated Brachial Artery Dilation at 6 weeks. Started Jun 2011; status: completed.
