Overview
Phase 2, randomised, double-blind trial in chronic kidney disease (CKD) and metabolic acidosis comparing Sodium bicarbonate 16 weeks with placebo 16 weeks (2 arms). Primary endpoints: Muscle mitochondrial oxidative capacity by 31P MRS at 16 weeks, Insulin sensitivity (SI) by insulin clamp at 16 weeks and 4 more. Started Sep 2023; status: recruiting.
