Overview
Phase 4, randomised, open-label trial of liquid metformin (Aspargo Labs) and hydroxyurea in beta thalassemia (2 arms), sponsored by Bahria University. Primary endpoints: Change in Fetal Haemoglobin Percentage at 12 months and Change in frequency of blood transfusions at 12 months. Started Sep 2024; status: completed.
