Overview
Randomised, open-label trial of lactulose and rifaximin in acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) (2 arms), sponsored by Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences. Primary endpoint: Proportion of patients achieving composite endpoint target NH3 level < 79.5 mmol/L and/or Incidence of MALO at Day 7. Planned start Feb 2025; status: not yet recruiting.
