Phase 3 trial of liquorice nanogel in periodontitis (3 arms), sponsored by Al-Azhar University. Primary endpoint: Quantitative analysis of Porphyromonas gingivalis using real time PCR at 3 months. Started Jul 2025; status: completed.

Who it enrols
Adults aged 18-50 with Periodontitis stage III (pocket depth >= 6mm or CAL >= 5mm) indicated for surgery. Excludes smokers, pregnant/menopausal women, and those with diabetes, hypertension, psychological problems, or recent bone metabolism drugs.
