Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**1018 ISS** is a synthetic phosphorothioate CpG oligodeoxynucleotide developed by Dynavax as an innate immune stimulant. It activates **Toll-like receptor 9**, promoting dendritic-cell maturation, type I interferon-associated immune activation, cytokine production, antigen presentation, and T-helper-1-skewed immune responses. In a Phase 2 study for relapsed or refractory CD20-positive B-cell follicular lymphoma, subcutaneous 1018 ISS was administered following rituximab to augment rituximab-mediated antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and reshape the tumor immune microenvironment. The follicular lymphoma program was investigational and has not resulted in an approved oncology indication.
