2028zT2 is a preclinical chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Wellington Zhaotai for the treatment of B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). The therapy targets the CD20 antigen, a protein commonly expressed on the surface of normal and malignant B-cells. The CAR construct incorporates a CD28 co-stimulatory domain and a CD3ζ signaling domain, designed to provide the necessary signals for robust T-cell activation, expansion, and persistence following antigen recognition. By redirecting the patient's own T-cells to recognize and eliminate CD20-positive leukemic cells, 2028zT2 aims to provide a potent therapeutic option for B-cell malignancies.
