Drug intelligence / Profile preview
86Y-Pep-1L is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic tracer consisting of the IL-13RA2-specific peptide Pep-1L conjugated to a chelator and labeled with the positron-emitting isotope Yttrium-86 (86Y). It is designed for selective PET/CT imaging of tumors overexpressing the interleukin-13 receptor alpha 2 (IL-13RA2), such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and metastatic melanoma. Unlike the ubiquitous IL-13RA1, IL-13RA2 is a tumor-restricted biomarker, making it an ideal target for diagnostic and theranostic applications. Preclinical studies demonstrate fast clearance via glomerular filtration and high tumor-to-muscle uptake ratios, supporting its potential for non-invasive visualization of IL-13RA2-positive malignancies.
