ABC-301

ABC-301 is a preclinical-stage biologic drug being developed by ABCELY for the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). It is a bio-better oral anti-TNFα therapy that utilizes a secretory IgA (sIgA) antibody format. Unlike traditional systemic anti-TNFα biologics, which are typically IgG-based and administered parenterally, ABC-301 is designed for mucosal-specific targeting to act locally within the intestinal mucosa. This approach aims to improve efficacy and safety by directly neutralizing the proinflammatory cytokine TNFα at the site of inflammation while potentially reducing systemic exposure and associated side effects.
