Overview

This investigational combination immunotherapy is being evaluated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The regimen consists of donor-derived (allogeneic) natural killer (NK) cells administered in conjunction with two monoclonal antibodies: rituximab, which targets the CD20 antigen, and tafasitamab, which targets the CD19 antigen. The NK cells serve as immune effector cells intended to enhance antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) against lymphoma cells coated with these antibodies. Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is co-administered to support the activation, survival, and proliferation of the infused NK cells. The treatment is typically preceded by a lymphodepleting conditioning regimen of fludarabine and cyclophosphamide to facilitate the persistence of the allogeneic cells.
