This is a combination of three agents—amoxicillin, piperacillin, and tazobactam. Amoxicillin and piperacillin are both penicillin-class beta-lactam antibiotics that inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins, leading to cell lysis and death. Tazobactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects beta-lactam antibiotics (such as piperacillin) from degradation by bacterial enzymes called beta-lactamases, thereby extending their spectrum of activity against resistant bacteria. While combinations such as amoxicillin/clavulanate and piperacillin/tazobactam are widely used in clinical practice for the treatment of various infections—including respiratory tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections—the specific triple combination of amoxicillin + piperacillin + tazobactam does not appear to be an established or marketed pharmaceutical product according to available sources[2][3][5]. Each component has broad-spectrum antibacterial activity; however, there is no evidence this exact three-drug combination is approved or commonly used.
