anti-CD20 CAR-T cells (Southwest Hospital) is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Southwest Hospital in China. The therapy is engineered to target the CD20 antigen, a protein expressed on the surface of approximately 90% of B-cell lymphomas and other B-cell malignancies. The treatment process involves harvesting a patient's own T cells, genetically modifying them to express a CAR directed against CD20, and re-infusing them into the patient to induce targeted tumor cell lysis. This therapy is primarily being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials (notably NCT02846584) for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancies, including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). It is often studied as part of a sequential CAR-T cell therapy regimen (targeting CD19 or CD20) followed by hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) as a bridging strategy to improve long-term outcomes.
