Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The anti-CD3 x anti-CD20 bispecific antibody (CD20Bi) is a bispecific antibody designed to target both CD3 on T cells and CD20 on B cells. It is produced by chemically heteroconjugating the anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody rituximab with the anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody muromonab-CD3 (OKT3). CD20Bi is primarily used to arm ex vivo expanded autologous activated T cells (aATC) to create CD20Bi-armed activated T cells (CD20Bi-aATC), which are then infused back into patients to target and destroy CD20-expressing malignant cells. This approach has been evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) and multiple myeloma (MM) in combination with autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT).
