Overview

Anti-CD62L monoclonal antibody refers to a class of biologic agents that target L-selectin (CD62L), a cell surface adhesion molecule primarily expressed on lymphocytes, including naïve T cells, central memory T cells, and regulatory T cells (Tregs). In the context of oncology, these antibodies are utilized to deplete CD62L-expressing cells, particularly within tumor-draining lymph nodes (TDLN). This depletion strategy aims to eliminate immunosuppressive populations like Tregs and naïve cells while sparing CD62L-negative effector CD8+ T cells, thereby transforming the TDLN into a highly active immunological site. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that administration of anti-CD62L antibodies can restore the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors, such as anti-PD-1 and anti-CTLA-4, in poorly immunogenic tumor models like melanoma and head and neck cancer.
