AQ280

AQ280 is an orally available, next-generation, highly selective small molecule inhibitor of Janus kinase 1 (JAK1). Developed under the Regulus program by Aqilion and originally by LEO Pharma as LEO 142397, AQ280 targets JAK1, a kinase that accelerates inflammatory processes implicated in allergy and fibrosis. By inhibiting JAK1, AQ280 aims to reduce symptoms and disease progression in chronic inflammatory diseases. The primary indication under development is eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), a chronic allergic inflammatory condition of the esophagus with significant unmet medical need. Phase 1 clinical trials have been completed to assess safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in healthy volunteers[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8].
