Overview
Atezolizumab + rituximab + cyclophosphamide + doxorubicin + vincristine + prednisone is a **multi-agent chemotherapy and immunotherapy combination regimen** primarily investigated for the treatment of **diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL)**. This regimen combines atezolizumab, a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), with the R-CHOP backbone (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone). **Atezolizumab acts as a checkpoint inhibitor enhancing antitumor immune responses. Rituximab targets CD20 on B cells, inducing cell lysis. The R-CHOP components (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisone) are cytotoxic agents acting via different mechanisms to kill rapidly dividing cells.** In clinical trials, the combination demonstrated promising complete response rates and a safety profile consistent with individual drugs[1][3].
