Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AU2-85 is an orally bioavailable, highly selective small molecule inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinase 8 (CDK8), currently in late preclinical development by Aucentra Therapeutics for the treatment of haematological malignancies. The drug functions by modulating the transcriptional regulation of cytokines through the STAT1/5 pathway, a mechanism that disrupts tumor-promoting immune responses and gene expression in cancer cells. Preclinical studies in animal models have shown promising efficacy and safety profiles, supporting its potential as a targeted therapy for blood-borne cancers.
